I had the privelege of going to see some friends in Hawaii. When i got there i realized how bad they needed my hair expertise, seeing as though they hadn't had there done since they moved there! Their deck, overlooks the ocean, such a beautfil setting to cut hair! What a life! :)

soooo! Im terrible at this whole blog thing, but i promise to get better..EVENTUALLY! Maybe when things start to slow down..Life has been a little crazy. I believe the trend for fall is red. Deep reds are in. I will be bringing my camera in soon to start taking pictures for my blog. We have a great team of people and im so blessed to get up and go to work everyday. So! Its taking me a long time to sit down and write on my blog, my apologies! There are some new changes at our salon! We just brought in a new line called loreal professional. It is a great line, and they offer tons of education. Loreal has been in the business a long time, and they know hair! It is not the same stuff you see in the grocery stores, infact, its not even the same company. Come on in and check it out! Also, We have two new team members. We have a massage therapist, as well as a facial tech! They are wonderful!!! We are still looking for models for updos, so if you are interested let me know! Thanks a bunch! I will write soon!

I went to a hair class in Seattle last week and it was awesome! we learned a couple of new hair cuts, and its crazy how styles come back around... it seems like everyone wants VICTORIA BECKHAMS hair cut. There is also a new style with just lots of shaggy layers, for those of you with long hair and are bored..its a great look! I would like to modify it a little bit. All in all Seattle was rainy as always but it was so fun! I love going to classes, it just re-energizes me!

Hello friends!

Well it was my first week at Curl up And Dye and I absolutely love it! Its a great place to work. On march 2 the owner and I will be going to seattle, to be at a hair show. I will be learning 4 new cuts! It will be a blast. Right now I'm in the process of getting some pictures on my blog, but its taking me a little longer than i expected. BACK TO REALITY!

Hey everyone,

well its quite a change to go from 80 degree weather and palm trees, to 30 degree weather and pine trees! :) My trip was a blast. Its amazing to go and see places like the ruins. I got my hair done on the ship jut for fun, and the lady that did my hair was from Europe. She was very nice and knowledgeable. I believe you can learn something from everyone. Today was a fun day at the salon. I got to consult with a girl about coloring her hair. She has black hair from the mid-shaft down, and red brown hair on her roots. She has been trying to grow it out, but she is disappointed with the way it looks. She eventually wants to be lighter but doesn't want high lights. This is a dilemma! What I'm going to do is retouch her hair with a light brown on the roots, than do some dark low lights just to break up that line. This will be great, and when i gain her trust maybe she will let me put some high lights in there :) I will be putting some pictures of how it turns out when we do it. Color is a lot of fun, especially challenges like that. Well everyone have a wonderful week!

Hey everyone! Its been a crazy few days, starting at 7 am and working til 6 pm.!!! It will pay off soon! As of Saturday I will be on vacation for a week in the Caribbean! Japanese Straightening Before and After

These are before and after photos of a client who's hair I straightened using a product by Rusk. The process is called Japanese straightening, and it took about 6 hours to complete as my client had very long thick hair. The results were fabulous!
